I have always known from a young age that I wanted to be an artist. Growing up I saw my father tutor students through fashion college and was continually intrigued by his abstract life drawings and oil paintings, this definitely encouraged me to become an artist. I currently work and live in the UK with my husband my 3 children and my new rescue dog.
I think I have always had a slight obsession for pattern design. Also another of my loves is the creation of quirky animal characters, which I began drawing sketch books of when I was still in primary school.
With a honours degree in Illustration and Printmaking, I started my career designing children’s wear patterns, placements and characters for a Marks & Spencers manufacturer, this led on to designing for the greeting card, gifts and stationery markets for various high street outlets such as WHSmith, Clintons, Paperchase & Birthdays.
My work has been seen across a huge variety of products, from children’s apparel, home furnishings and giftware to paper products.
Since establishing a freelance career, I design anything from surface pattern to branding design and personalised illustration, whilst establishing an ever growing range of products and if required, can manage your project from concept through to print.
